About Us

Federação Brasileira de Representação Internacional de Arnis de Mano, Eskrima, Kali, Silat, (Brazilian Federation of International Representatives of Arnis de Mano, Eskrima, Kali, Silat) also called FIAMEK, founded in April 11, 2011, is a federal civil association of the sports of Arnis de Mano, Eskrima, Kali, Silat, martial arts originating in the Philippines, Indonesia, Malaysia, is a private civil society and nonprofit organization. FIAMEK exercise its activities in accordance with the laws of the country, especially Law No. 9.615/1998 as amended by Law No. 9.981/2000.

FIAMEK aims to join the entities and bodies of practice, formal and non formal of martial arts originating in the Philippines, Indonesia, Malaysia, in order to stimulate the practice and realization of competitions among its members, training of human resources, public or private.

FIAMEK objectives are to (excerpt from our statues):
  1. direct, encourage and spread the practice of martial arts originating in the Philippines, Indonesia, Malaysia throughout the country;
  2. represent nationally and internationally all Brazilian practitioners of martial arts originating in the Philippines, Indonesia, Malaysia, whether individuals or legal entities;
  3. promote the holding of competitions, courses and exhibitions of martial arts originating in the Philippines, Indonesia, Malaysia.
  4. ensure the organization, ethics and discipline in the practice of martial arts originating in the Philippines, Indonesia, Malaysia withi affiliated entities;
FIAMEK does not favor any school, we respect all those who have legitimate lines in the traditional martial arts originating from the Philippines, Indonesia and Malaysia.

FIAMEK recognizes that the traditional Filipino and Indonesian Martial Arts have been used in warfare and for personal protection against assault. However due to the nature of training and Brazilian law, FIAMEK objects to any and all unjustifed agression from its members and will, according to its Statutes and regulations, apply the mecessary  sanctions, without exception of any applicable judicial measures.
